HIGHWAY movie rocks! Randeep Hooda rocks!

Tu saath hai... Din raat hai... Maahi ve! Maahi ve!

I am crazy about this one song, these days... First, because it's a beautiful song. Second, because Rahman sir has sung it so mesmerising. Third, the chemistry between Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhat is simply awesome.

I love the acting skills of Randeep. And I am in love with Randeep's smile. The most beautiful smile of Bollywood industry is his. Whenever I see him smile I recall that dialogue from his movie "Mere Khwabon Main Jo Aaye" (One of my favorite movies) - "Mushkaan jo saare gham mitade!!" (Smile that the power to heal all the pain!!). I have fallen in love with the way he speaks with his eyes and the way he says I Love You Veera in every scene, every stare, without actually speaking in words. Even though he repeatedly says to the partners that he will sell her to the brothels, it became obvious that he was lying when he said about how the poor females/wives are treated. He had started liking her from the time she helped them from the police. I wished at the end he would have actually said "Veera, main tumse bahat pyar karat hoon". However, I feel it's more effective the way they have shot.

Rahman sir has sung it so _____ , I don't have words to explain how. The song is so soulful.

Also, after seeing the video of Maahi Ve song, I feel there were some essential romantic scenes that should have been included in the movie. Like the one where Veera is drinking water and Mahabir wipes her lips and chin. Also, the one where they are sleeping on the bus and where Veera drags Mahabir's face to make him see her on top of the bus. I felt a bit lost in between scenes where the above scenes are cut. They should have disclosed the death of Mahabir just before the last scene. Cause once Veera was at her home again the scenes felt soulless and lost. Once Mahabir was dead there was no curiosity for me to wait to see what is next. The time I spent to sit and watch the movie till the end was like a big punishment.

I know I jot down my thoughts so late. What to do my kiddo and my office work drain out all energy out of me end of the day. Today however I have less work so felt like pouring my love for highway. This weekend I am planning to add one more gem to my DVD collections. The best thing about this movie is that I can watch this movie again and again because of Randeep's acting. He is one my favourite actor, an actor whose movies I would never miss ever.

I would give the movie 8 out of 10. The inclusion of those cut scenes would have helped me give 9. And change of the disclosure of Mahabir's death would have helped me give 10 out of 10.

Whatever may be but love story of Mahabir and Veera would remain in my memory for ever and I cherish their love. I cherish the acting of the actors, the picturisation skills of the camera men, the direction of the director. I cherished each every scene, every minute details that the movie has covered captured. Be it the mosquitoes roaming around Alia Bhatt's face while giving the emotional scene where she discloses incidents of her childhood; Or the tears and mucus when Randeep Hooda is unbelievably emotional and crying for the surreal happiness Mahabir was getting and feeling guilty for the sufferings he and his mom had been through and was missing his mom.

Honestly Randeep Hooda is a true versatile actor. Way to go buddy!! Keep smiling and enchanting the whole world with your acting skills and your breathtaking smile. And yeah your rugged look makes you look even more handsome :)

Amazing Thunderous Night!

Yesterday!

What a thunderous night! Amazing! Felt like I was in the Iraq Nuclear war! What lightning! It was a like a chain of lightning electrified to each other. The sound was terrifying and it reminded me of the movie The Soccerers Apprentice. The cupboards were vibrating with the thunders. The light was blinding. It was truly the scariest night for me. I was not even scared a cinch during the tsunami in Odisha. But this took the hell out of my soul.

But more than that I was wondering how scared those people living in those one room quarter must not be.

This morning, everything is so calm and quite as if nothing had happened in the night! Wow!

Amazing experience! I wished I could record a bit of the night, however, I was so scared to even move from the bed. My son even pushed himself to my side fully. Amazing night!
