Son or Car?

There's another version of the "Be Patient" story I heard from my friend recently. I have tried to write in my own words. Hope you like it. Here's it.

There was a happy family with mother-father and a son, 6 years old. The father used to ride a scooter even though he had a capability of riding a car. The son by seeing other kids' fathers started asking his father about buying a car. Everyday he would ask him to get him a car and he would deny. However he kept that point in his mind. By listening this for a long time, he finally thought one day of buying a car. And he thought, "I would give my son a surprise." In the next couple of days he bought a car. Before his son arrived from his school the Car was standing in their garage. When he arrived and saw the new car, he was excited and ran to his father and gave him a hug and said, "Thank you Daddy!".

The son showed his car to everyone, to all his friends and neighbors. Everyone in the society came to know that the father loved his son so much that he bought the car for him at this age itself. His relatives also came to know that the father loves his son so much. The words spread from mouth to mouth and soon everybody in the area knew about it.

One fine morning, on a Saturday, the father saw his son scrapping something with a pin on the front side of the car. And he could see the paint is out and there were dust near the car wheel. He became furious with this behavior of his son. He took the bamboo stick lying in a corner of the stair case, and started hitting his son. He scolded him and asked why did he scrapped the paint. The son started crying out loudly and was telling sorry continuously. His wife came out and asked why is he beating him like this. He explained her and she took his son away, inside home. The son was still crying. The mother applied some antiseptic to the places where he was hurt. He cried on her lap and fell asleep after a while.

The father was so angry, he then took the newspaper and took his chair and started reading it. The neighbors watched everything. And they started murmuring about the father's behavior. When he looked at them, they all went inside. After the son woke up, neither he spoke to his father nor he came to his sight. The next morning too went silently. In the evening, the son came to his father and said, "I am sorry Daddy. I ruined your car." The father said, "OK". And the son went inside still with a sad face.

The next day, Monday, when he was about to go to office, before sitting in the car, he thought of checking out how much damage happened. He came to the front, saw what has happened and tears rolled out of his eyes. He saw,

"I Love My Daddy so much, for he bought this Car for M

Eventually the 'e' is missing for he was beaten up by then.

The father was confused how to react. He felt so much guilty for what he had done, and felt ashamed of himself, for everyone in the area knows that he has bought this car for his son. And he only had beaten his son.

For whom had he really bought this car for? Is Son more important and precious than the Car? He can repair the scratches of the car, but can he repair the scars he has made in the heart of that little fellow?

What a pity!! The human race is so intelligent but still gives more value to the machines than the human emotions. The certain percentage of humans who understand the value of the emotions, I salute them. And the rest, I really pity on you.

When the clock ticked 12...

"Wow... Good Morning. Thank you God for giving me a wonderful life and another day to cherish it!"

Every morning after waking up, she puts her hand on her face, she prays and thanks God, wipes her face and then gets out of the bed. Today there's no milk, it's time for Green Tea today. She has made Tulsi Green tea and it's so refreshing.

Also, today she is even more excited, for tomorrow is a grand day for her. It's her love, her husband's birthday. She has been photographing him for a long time now. She has picked 12 photos from those hundreds of pics. She has made a calender with those pics, with some beautiful quotes in it. Also, she is feeling very happy for after a long time he has made love to her.

It's Friday, so tomorrow she won't have to take any leave tomorrow. She goes office on time. Unfortunately, she has to finish some work today so that code is delivered to production server and people start using it early morning on Monday. She wants to enjoy the weekend to the fullest without having to remember the office work. She stays a bit late today. She collects her stuff that she has left at the reception. Leaves for home at 10 PM. She is late today, as her husband has imposed that being a woman she has to reach home before 9 PM, otherwise he won't let her work anymore. She is a bit scared, but is excited too, for it's just 2 hours to go. And she would give him a surprise, for in these past 10 years when he was in US, as a bachelor, no one in his family has ever celebrated his b'day or has ever wished him his b'day. She is going to give him a big surprise today and he would be very very happy and so would she.

She gets a call at 10:05 PM. She is driving so she didn't pick. When she reached a traffic signal, she checked her mobile phone and found her hubby's call. She calls back at 10:25 PM, a bit in nervous tone, she says, "Hello". He asks where is she, she tells that she is in the traffic signal. He scolds her for being late, and disconnects the phone. She drives even fast at 80 kmph in her scooter and covers those 14 Kms in just 7 minutes. When she is at home, she found that he has not reached home. She is relieved.  She goes inside and changes her clothes and in relax mood switches on the TV. Watches a nice movie. He reaches home at 10:45 PM in a very angry mood. Starts questioning her, why she is late? And starts scolding her and asks to look at him. She becomes angry at his reaction and upon him forcing her to look at him, she stares at him. He scolds and tells he would not let her work any more, she has to stay at home, work at home and serve him. She asks her why is he so late today. He reaches close to her and tells, "That's none of your business. You are woman behave like a woman, you are not supposed to reverse question me. I would throw you out of this house if you do it again." She says in a low voice, "Would see who is going to throw me out of the house." Past three times she found it so offending and went out. "Would see who's going to throw me this time." By this he throws her bag at her. The bag contains her lunch box, her books, a water bottle full of water, her specs, a charger, phone, iPod, sanitizer, pens etc. etc. It's very heavy. The bag falls on her legs and knee pains.

The same arguments have happened earlier for different, but silly reasons. She has tolerated all and had ignored. She plays with him and caress him, when he gives excuses for sleeping whole week she just drops her idea of going out, watches movies which he wants her to watch. Earlier in small small arguments when he has shown physical abuse she has ignored those too. But today he has thrown the bag without thinking it may hurt her substantially, that too in front of her little brother.

Today, the limit has crossed now. No place is left for the extra water to accumulate in the vessel, so it has to overflow. She gets up from the sofa and picks that bag and hits him twice, he holds that bag so he is not hurt at all. Her brother comes to part them. But they still fight hitting each other. He asks her to get out of the house. With this he said, "Who knows what you are doing outside - with whom, staying so late?" They have arguments related to this. She is heartbroken now. The person whom she has given her whole-heart has questioned to her character.

It's already 11:30 PM. She denies and he forcibly throws her out of the house. When she comes back, he pulls her by her leg and drags her out of the house. Her brother comes and tries to take his hand off. He listens to all argument and tells them in the morning you should talk about this. But he is in no mood to keep her. She calls her parents and he discusses with her parents on phone and gives the same arguments. They ask her to calm down, but he says, "There's no point in talking to you guys too, you don't understand my point. So, I'll decide what to do with her." He drops the call and asks her to get out. She denies, but after while she takes her office bag her phone and goes out deciding she would complain in police station. Police station is again so far off that area.

The roads are dark and the area is deadly. There are huge weeds in both side of the road. She is walking all alone crying, thinking that she was very happy being bachelor. At least there were friends who don't do such behavior. A car passed by with full deck sound. A bike passed by and the biker stared at her. She is scared now, where to go. Her brother came running and took her, consoled her. He called his parents and told them what happened in brief. She spoke to her father and he asked her to go back and stay until they come. After a couple of days they all left and stayed in another house.

After another two days, the stuff she had brought started stinking and came to her husband's attention. He opened up all the packets. He found a beautiful cake stinking with fungus on it. He read there, "Happy Birthday Dada. I Love You so much." He found the calender with his photos in each month's page with some nice quotes, beautifully designed. He found a b'day card. And it was full of messages. It read,

"Dear Dada, I love you so much. What if we lost a baby, You are a lovely baby of mine.  And its time to plan for another baby. When you give me a kiss on my forehead, I feel the greatest gift is being showered on me. When I sit on your lap and hold my head near your heart, I get the comfort of the smoothest mattress and the place where I get a beautiful sleep, second to my mom's. I listen to  the most melodious music of the world so far - your heart beat. It's the place where I want to stay for my whole life. When you make fun of me, I feel so great inside that I just hide it under the sad face, for I want this to continue forever. When you sing song with your bad tune and bad style, it serves as a nice poem and I get a beautiful sleep. I feel so happy when you smile and I feel like just staring at you. Dada, be always like this smiling and caring papa. I get upset and it hurts when you scold and fight with me. I Love You Papa... I love you like I never ever loved anyone in my life. Thank you for giving such a beautiful moment yesterday. Happy Birthday to you, dear Dada. Many many happy returns of the day. May God shower all thy blessings on you and keep you happy always."

She left the country in next couple of weeks. Where is she now I have no idea. And I don't think that husband has any idea too. Poor guy, his ego has always come in their happiness. What happens next, I have no idea. Since then I have not heard anything from her. Well, what happened when the clock ticked 12? No idea; with the series of events happening so fast, we couldn't concentrate on the clock any more.

I hope she is doing well and is living a new and cheerful life.

Be Patient

6:47 pm Ajit Dembla: BE PATIENT

This is a true story which happened in the States. A man came out of his home to admire his new truck. To his puzzlement, his three-year-old son was happily hammering dents into the shiny paint of the truck. The man ran to his son, knocked him away, hammered the little boy's hands into pulp as punishment. When the father calmed down, he rushed his son to the hospital.

Although the doctor tried desperately to save the crushed bones, he finally had to amputate the fingers of both the hands of the kid. When the boy woke up from the surgery & saw his bandaged stubs, he innocently said, "Daddy, I'm sorry about your truck." Then he asked, "but when are my fingers going to grow back?" The father went home & committed suicide.

Think about this story the next time someone steps on your feet or u wish to take revenge. Think first before u lose your patience with someone u love. Trucks can be repaired.. Broken bones & hurt feelings often can't. Too often we fail to recognize the difference between the person and the performance. We forget that forgiveness is greater than revenge.

People make mistakes. We are allowed to make mistakes. But the actions we take while in a rage will haunt us forever.
