Hopefully I am back

It’s been long time I have written something… I have been a bit sick and tired to do anything; nothing to worry about though. Since September there’s been so much happening in life. With some good news, new festivals to celebrate; it’s been busy days. And yeah I have been preparing some new quilling cards; wondering how to sell those cards though.

I was just thinking today how many wonderful experiences I haven’t jot down here. Me - Lazy fellow.

I cherish the Ganesh puja, the Dasahara puja and Deewali very much. I have painted some of the Diyas this time too with the pearl and metallic colors and they look amazing. Hopefully, even though the days have passed already; I will share the memories here shortly.

I was going through my favourite quillers Azlina, Inna, Miyyah, Asma. Well, they are not just my favourite quiller; they are my inspiration. I have learnt a lot of technique from Azlina and Inna; their designs are simple and best. Miyyah and Asma are amazing quillers. The year is coming to an end and so my scope of opening and using my card site too is lessening due to my health. I will open my card blog for sure… May be its destined to open in the coming year 2012. Wish me luck.

Anyway, I still may not blog regularly, but I would definitely post my thoughts from time to time.

Hachiko: A Dog's Story

Today I watched "Hachiko: A Dog's Story". Couldn't stop my tears... I literally cried. Cried for a very long time... Why people have to die? Can't we stay together forever? I know that's not practical. But the sense of loss is a huge pain... can't resist.

You all must watch it too... What a love! What a loyalty!!

Wonderful movie...

You can read the story here if you want: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hachi:_A_Dog's_Tale

65th Indian Independence day...

65th Independence day... of India

After I left my home to start my career in IT sector.. I never enjoyed any festival or the major Holidays on our country... I would just watch the kids in the next door enjoy and celebrate the holidays and would be happy. I would go out sometimes on that day and would see the rush on the streets and be happy...

But this time I didn't feel even those... The corruption is eating our nation, our lives slowly. Earlier I used to feel that we have got the freedom for free. We got into other's hands, other's rule because of our own behavior, own lust, own selfishness, own benefits... and then we fought to get what we lost on the outsider's hands... the root cause is we. No one took over us without our own fault and mistakes, without our own permission.

Now that belief of mine is getting stronger and stronger. And that disease, those mistakes are today again happening and again some of us are behaving selfish and filling our own pockets.

Who is not corrupt in this nation? Starting from a peon to a Director in a company, everyone is worried and bothered about is their own pocket. The IT sector is not behind. We all are corrupt starting from the developer to the team lead, to the manager, to the director. There is a little bit of manipulation for the projects's benefit we all do. We fool around the client at times and sometime they do the same with us. No one is clean, no one.

Ah... I feel so irritated at times that I feel like going to a place where all these chaos won't be there. The saints in the Himalayas are in better position for these news don't bother them; for all they are bothered about is filling their stomach to live and then pray for the rest of their time on earth. May be I am ignoring the hard times they face, but those problems don't eat their mind and body and make them sick on day.

Whatever it is... I feel very sad for what's happening to India. Earlier the outsiders used to steal things from India and now some of those Indians.

When will I be able to feel that we are really free and a developed nation? I don't know.
I couldn't feel the independent India.

The unanswered question

"Where ever you are, it's the most romantic place on earth to me." The candle lights, music, beautiful scenery, the moon lit night, chocolate - everything's just incomplete without you. The most romantic places seem unromantic now. The world feels a bitter place with every sound has no sound any more... everything is so silent, so serene that it kills the serenity that's inside myself. The breeze of the evening wind asks only one question, "Who's the one crazy for you?"

Is anyone in this whole world who loved me as I am? Is anyone out there who's crazy for me, for my inner-self and not just my body?

Alas!! I hear no answer. Everywhere there's deadly silence. Silence - that acts as a slow poison...

"Where ever you are, it's the most romantic place on earth to me." - it feels so fake to me now...

Music - the vehicle to my personal world

Music... ..♫..♫..♫.. I am in Love... I am in Love... I am in Love...

I am in Love with Music... It's a companion that I am sure I am gonna have with me for my whole life... It's one partner that always leads me to my dreams... to my fantasies... to a world where there's is only Love and lovely people; no complexity, where the nature's so beautiful, not touched by any kind of polution at all...

Yeah... I know what you are thinking of now... you are thinking of the truth's of life, the realities of life... Don't worry about it... I spend most of my time in the reality... However, when I am fed up of it... I spend my time with my favourite songs and the music which takes me to the world that I always wanted to spend my life in. The people with whom I wish to spend my whole life with.

Music has the power to change your mood, your thoughts in seconds... Thank you all great music composers... who give such thought to every part of the tune, every music instrument, the rhythm of the notes that take us to the wonderful world which doesn't actually exists...

I love the music, where the voice of the singer is clearly visible and is playing on the front. Music when played in the back is most powerful and soothing. It directly hits your brain and calms it down. It slows your pace a bit and thus you becomes relaxed.

On the other hand music if played on the front, hits your sexual senses and you feel like dancing to a level of seduction. This is the reason why pubs play disco music. Yeah... if you want to enjoy the sexual part of life, go ahead and enjoy the pub life. Even if you don't smoke, the smoke of the cigarette that others enjoy, is going to reach each and every senses of your body. And the music increases the intensity to take to a level where you dance with those alluring steps.

Music can with in seconds make you cry and/or sad. It has power to remind you of any past events that haunt you with happy and/or bad moods. With in seconds it make you dance to its tune.

Right now I am listening some of my favourite songs, which includes serene, joyful, sad, sensual, trance, disco - old and new songs. If you would like to know at the very moment which song I am listening to, then yeah.. it's my all time favourite song from the movie LOVE - "Saathiya ye tune kya kiya, beliya ye tune kya kiya... Itni mohabbat sehna sakoonga, sach mano zinda rehna sakoonga...". I get nice sleep when I listen to this song at night. And yeah I am literally singing it now sitting at my office. At times I dance to the tune sitting on the chair.. Yeah its weird but can't help it... And again Que Sera, Sera ~ Whatever will be, will be - who cares. It's fun and helps me keep my singing skills in tact. At times the most rubbish lyrics also sounds pretty nice because of the voice, tune and music.. like Tamma Tamma Loge from the movie Thaanedaar. This too is my all time favourite, because of the music and the dance.

It make your day and cherish it to the fullest. If you feel you are sad... and your day is going to me doomed, then listen to your favourite song. You will be amazed how swiftly it brings you back from the sad to the joyful mood.

So, Que sera, sera, sera... just chill and enjoy your life just the way you want it to be...

Stop breaking traffic rules - the power in brand YOU

Imagine...

It starts with YOU.

We say the country is not moving ahead.

The roads are not clean - and every time we eat something on the road side, we through the plate on the road, we throw the chocolate wrapper on the streets.

There is so much of traffic - still we break the traffic rules and unnecessarily create the rush. We break the rule at one stop and we face the traffic challenge in all other next stops. And then there are others who break the rule and the rush in the road increases, cause everyone wants to go early.

The politicians are worst and not working properly - still we don't go to vote for the right candidate for us. Thanks to the Yuva politicians for their interest and dare to enter politics, when there are all other jobs for Engineers, Doctors, Business Man...

Our lives have become mess - still we focus more on the problem and draw ourselves into the mess more and more, rather than staying out of the problem. When we see we are about to crash we just focus towards the accident rather than finding a way to get ourselves out of the Car. When we see we are about to crash to the wall, rather than seeing the opposite side to move the steering away from the wall we look towards to wall only.

We ourselves must first take the step, an initiative to make our life beautiful. Then spread this message to our friends so that they would do the same and then one day everyone would be found doing great things.

It's YOU, who turns to your friend, co-worker, family members and says, "We got to do this!!"

If YOU take a personal responsibility to make a difference, one day, one action at a time, then your friends would start taking responsibility just by seeing you.

When the Red light is on, stay back than breaching the rules. By seeing you there are many others who would stop too. In this way after the previous batch of people have moved a good distance and the traffic gets diluted, you get an empty and clean road in front of you. Thus, you drive smoothly without fighting for a way out.

Keep a small box with you always. Keep the chocolate wrappers and other small garbage in that box. When you reach home discard the garbage to the garbage bag. In this way you refrain from cluttering the roads.

When you are in trouble try to focus on the solution. Move your face towards the opposite direction of the problem, away from the problematic direction and you can see the rays of hope and solutions.

Whatever we do we are being watched. So, when YOU do one such good things there are people who would take it as an inspiration.

And gradually at least the educated section of the society would contribute a lot to the goodness of the society.

Thus, it will spread gradually to

                     A community of Friends
                     A neighborhood
                     A church / temple / tomb
                     A club
A group of employees at a company
                     A state
                     A country

And it grows across the world.

Imagine a day when there are 100 million fewer pieces of litter on the streets because everyone picked up just one piece of trash.

Imagine a day when there would no accidents on the road because everyone followed the traffic rules.

We can't force everyone, we can just convey them our thoughts, we can inspire them by our acts.

Imagine a day when all your troubles have come up to you with a solution because you have constantly focused on how to get out of the trouble...

Thinking about doing something, doesn't make a difference. Getting started DOES make a difference. Remember the new BRAND is YOU. And it has a huge impact on all others around you.

My First Red Rose

Red Rose… a perfect way to allure a girl, a woman – the love of your life. I love flowers and yeah always dreamt of getting a Red rose from someone special. I have received Yellow Rose, Orange Rose, Pink Rose, and different colored Rose Bouquets. Yeah, I remember the beautiful bouquet I received on my Birthday from the organization I work in. It was beautiful. But a Red Rose is no way comparable to any other color Rose. It’s gorgeous, power-filled, enchanting. The color itself has so much energy in it.

And finally I received one from my beloved D. And I am so happy to receive that gift. I was looking at the Rose again and again and again. It was simply mesmerizing. Oh D! Thank you so much for that gift. I am pleased and I feel very satisfied. Thank you. I Love You.

Just a thought about my favourite songs.

I have been writing song lyrics of my favourite songs in some of my dairies, since I was kid.

Today I was trying to recollect some of my songs and couldn't find many. Thus, I am thinking of storing those in my blog. I would be posting my favourite song lyrics in my future blogs soon. I have few right now with me. And would post those today itself.

Gift for a Friend - 07

Me and one of my friends, S, we have been preparing a card from past few days; one piece of it at a time. Every time we looked at the card, we felt, something is still missing. It doesn't look complete. And we get many other ideas and every day we used to implement one idea on the card. Initially, when we were planning we came up with an idea, to prepare a big heart with quilled scrolls. Later we thought we would make “I ♥ U”. The letter I and U we would make with just quilled strip borders. So, we started work on the ♥ part. I made the border for it and left for the day.

Next when I came S had added D and M to it (my hubby's and mine), instead of D and A. So, we had some argument on it. And then I decided to cut the heart out. And I did and in the process the border was also into pieces. So, I removed the strips. I pasted anther border on the edges of the vacant heart on the card. I took a Red handmade shining paper. Cut a bigger heart and pasted on the back of the card to cover the heart. Now, the blue heart turned into Red and it looked gorgeous.

Then S and I started making small and big quilled hearts to fill the Red heart. It looked even better with the quilled hearts. Then we thought whether to do the ‘I’ and ‘U’ in quilled borders. S left for break that day and in the mean time I prepared a fringed flower. Then I thought for a while where to place the flower now.

In the mean time thinking about that I punched some flowers from my organization’s magazine. All brand colors. The prepared some branches with the multi-color leaves. It looked very nice. I arranged in with the flower and WOW... I got my idea. I arranged the flower on the top of the longest branch and it looked like ‘I’. That's it. I got my ‘I’ and ‘♥’. Now about ‘U’ I could not get any clue. I waited for S. In the mean time I cut out a blue butterfly from the magazine; added some golden and silver glitter spots to it. I pasted the branches and the flower and waited for S to return.

When he returned I showed him and asked him to guess. Alas! He couldn't guess. I told him about the ‘I’ part. Then he could visualize. I showed him the butterfly and asked him where to place it. And he just placed it in the right side of the heart. And WOW... We got our ‘U’. He showed me a white strip on the butterfly's photo. It looks like ‘U’. And yeah we pasted everything in the right place. And the “I ♥ U” looked. However, still we felt the space of the card is not looking rightfully used.

Next I took out two punch letters, A and D. Initially we thought to place in the blank space available. But no, it was looking messy. Thus, we placed the letters on the backside Red color heart. It looked great.
We thought for a while, then started working on the inside page where one will write the message. We punched out a chain of hearts, cutting a beautiful border. We used the border inside and used some colored tiny hearts to decorate the page. I had the punched out hearts from the border. And I started throwing those on the card. And it looked beautiful on the blue background. So, we arranged a chain of heart starting from the butterfly, moving upwards in twist and turn shape. WOW, the card looked great. Thus, we glued everything and yes, we got a nice and beautiful card.

S prepared a frame to cover the quilled card. It looked gorgeous with the violet patterned color printed paper. I don't have the picture of it as of now.

We gave the card yesterday to A for she would present it to D on his birthday. She was really impressed and was very happy. She looks beautiful when she smiles; I hope D always tells it to her. Anyway, the “I ♥ U” project is complete. So, I am moving to my next exploration with colors.

My New Project - Greeting Cards

It’s been very long since I have posted something of my own thoughts. Well, I have been busy with some other project. And even now I am busy. I have been preparing cards for my friends and colleagues for them to present it to some of their close friends/relatives/colleagues. Whoever has received card from me is really very impressed with the work done.

I started seriously enhancing my card making skills in Hyderabad. I would not have done that if I would not have visited the Himalaya Book Store, near to Punjagutta Petrol Bunk, Hyderabad. It has a good collection of designer hand-made papers, gift items, colors, glitters etc. Thus, I got my water color box and some A1 chart papers initially. I started drawing, sketching and painting. I enjoyed it. However, once I saw some hand-made papers with my room-mate P. I asked her where did she get those papers and she said, that nearby shop only has that. And that night I thought of exploring the shop. And yeah I found the whole range. I got some beautiful ones and started making cards for others and for my friends. I enjoyed making those cards.

The posting about the Valentine Card is one of the creations of that time. I have created many. Unfortunately, I did not have a camera at that time and thus I don't have the pictures now. But yeah they were really gentle, sober designer cards. I hope to visit those friends sometime, and hopefully they have the card yet, so I can click some snaps. Anyway, I can create those at anytime.

But yeah the sad part is in Bangalore the shops are a bit far away from my place and they don't have good collection also. So, I have very limited resources to explore my imagination with.

I have a dream and a plan to go to market with the cards I make. I hope you all would support me for the same. I would definitely update you on the date when I would go live.
